To see the world in a grain of capsules

Anant Patel very much enjoyed this year’s International Bioencapsulation Conference in Nantes, France. While most of the talks were about innovation in encapsulation as such, materials, technologies, health & personal care and food, it was left to him to present our innovative contribution to agricultural field, namely our attract-and-kill work for biological control of wireworms. Anant was very happy with the intense discussion and enthousiastic feedback. He forwards all the praise to the fabulous ATTRACAP team, especially Pascal Humbert whose insights into beads gained by using MALDI-TOF he presented. Thanks a lot also to Hanna Bednarz and Karsten Niehaus of CeBiTec Bielefeld for their help and many ideas.
A real highlight was the talk of Christophe Lacroix on “mouse gut in bioreactors” – very interesting approach! Another highlight was meeting up with the “BRG family” as Poncelet-Award winning Stephan Drusch called our fellowship in his closing talk.
